Blue & Green Drop Support

Blue and Green Drop programmes are part of the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) incentive regulation. These programs were initiated to assist the WSSA to manage their water and waste water systems effectively and efficiently.

WSSA can assist with the development and implementation of:

Water services by-law.
Water safety plan (WSP).
Maintenance plan and asset registers.
Incident Management Protocol (IMP).
Wastewater risk abatement plan (W2RAP).
Process audits for both water and waste water systems.

Project Name: Process Audit for King Williams Town Water Treatment Works
Client: Buffalo City Metropolitan (BCM)
Location: East London, Eastern Cape
Project Description:WSSA was appointed by BCM to conduct a process audit of their water treatment works which has a capacity of 12.5 Ml/day. The process audit report covered the resources, treatment works and the distribution system.

Project Name: Process Audits for Water and Wastewater Treatment Works
Client: Eskom
Location: Duvha Power Station, Mpumalanga and Matimba Power Station, Limpopo
Project Description: WSSA was appointed by Eskom to conduct process audits for their water and wastewater treatment works at both power stations. The process audits reports covered the resources, treatment works and the distribution system. The content of the reports also addressed their Blue and Green Drop programmes.
